Kochi Prefecture, where Muroto Deep-Seawater is processed, is the home town of Ryoma Sakamoto, one of Japan's most famous samurai. This salt is made from 100% Muroto Deep-Seawater. Afeter a long period of crystallization, Nigari is added to the salt and consequently it becomes a great tasting coarse salt.
